At the Pine Mountain Observatory we will be monitoring Jupiter in both linearly and circularly polarized light in order to possible detect and changes/disruptions of Jupiter's magnetic field due to these exploding balls of hot plasma. General note: CCD image of Jupiter + the Comet will not be easy since Jupiter is very bright and will saturate the CCD in exposure times that are greater than about one second, for most telescopes. Since the comet is quite faint relative to Jupiter, it will be difficult to get good pictures of both Jupiter and the Comet in the same CC D frame.
