2.1 Summary

This is a subroutine package that performs bit-pattern processing. It is intended for systems with a single word length of 32 bits.

If the argument that gives/returns the bit pattern is 1 word length, it does not need to be an integer type.

This package is based on the basic functions and subroutines groups that comes with the NCAR graphic package (except for BITPIC and BITPCI).
